Rabbi Baruch Braunstein, counselor to Jewish students at Columbia University, New York City, has come to the American University here following a long sojourn in Palestine. He will lecture in Beirut on the “Spirit of Judaism” and will also give his impressions of his travels in Palestine in a series of talks at the Near East School of Theology.
Considerable interest has been aroused by Rabbi Braunstein’s visit to the American University here, to which, it should be remembered, the late Julius Rosenwald bequeathed $250,000.
Rabbi Braunstein was expected here earlier in the year, and was expected to remain here for a whole semester, but his arrival in Beirut was delayed due to the time he spent conducting researches on Jewish history on the island of Majorca off the coast of Spain.
