A restriction immigration bill similar to that offered in the House by Chairman Johnson of the Immigration Committee, was introduced in the Senate by Senator Lodge of Massachusetts. The bill provides for the reduction of the immigration quota from 3% to 2%, the quota to be based on the nationality census of 1890.
Senator Spenser of Missouri introduced a bill calling, among other things, for the deportation of aliens guilty of violating the prohibition act.
