Large congregations are assembling nightly in many East End and West End shelters to observe Chanukah. Regular services will be held throughout the week.

During a Chanukah party in the home of lord Redesdale, where about 40 bombed out Jewish East Enders are staying, Lord Redesdale’s daughter distributed valuable presents. The Lord May or and Lord Mayoress of Westminster contributed funds for the party.
