The Evening Standard today sharply condemned publication in England of an anti-Jewish paper by extremist Polish refugees.
The Standard demanded to know the source of the paper’s funds and asked what purpose the Poles thought they were serving by giving voice to expressions of opinion “which might be approved in Nazi Germany.” It said the publishers of the paper “stand condemned by the mass of English people.”
