The opinions of David Lloyd George on the Jewish situation in Germany are reproduced in the Manchester Guardian in connection with Lloyd George’s possible return to power in England.
The Manchester Guardian publishes an interview which Lloyd George gave to the London correspondent of the Berliner Tageblatt in which he allegedly expressed himself as admiring new Germany. In this interview Lloyd George, however, emphasizes that “his attitude on the treatment of Jews in Germany is no doubt known to the German press.”
Other London newspapers quoting Lloyd George on the Jewish question in Germany emphasize the statement which the British statesman made in the early months of the Hitler regime in which he said that “a nation of 60,000,000 people is entitled to justice, but must also treat with justice its 600,000 Jews.”
