Commenting on the news from Moscow reporting the death of Leon Blum, former French premier, in a “Jewish extermination camp” at Lublin, Reuter’s News Agency today quotes Andre Le Troquer, French Commissioner for the Administration of Liberated Territories as saying it was known that M. Blum was alive in May, 1943, given in the Moscow report as the date of his death.
Well informed sources in London also told the United Press that M. Blum was alive “just a few days ago,” but declined to elaborate on the basis of their information “for obvious reasons,” adding that “the less said about the matter the bettor.”
