London Writer Stresses World’s Duty to Exiled Jews

“Evian and Geneva point to Palestine as one of the greatest contributions our country can make to justice for the Jews,” Scrutator, internationally known political commentator, declares today in an article in the sunday times. The article is captioned “the world’s duty to the exiled Jews.” regretting outrages committed on both sides by a small minority, Scrutator denounces the “miserable failure” of british policy in Palestine, charging it had “frittered away one of the greatest opportunities we ever had.”

Sixty professors and members of Parliament have addressed a letter to the British delegation at the Evian conference appealing for generous and immediate action.

Creation of a refugee settlement fund was urged upon the Evian meeting today in a resolution adopted by the women’s advisory council of the british league of nations union, which represents 60 national women’s organization.
