The Earl of Reading left today for London, having completed his term as viceroy of India.

Although Lord Irwin, the new viceroy arrived in India today, they did not meet each other, in accordance with an established custom.

Newspapers here pay tribute to Lord Reading on the conclusion of his term as viceroy of India. The newspapers point out that the Lord succeeded in transforming India from a welter of political and financial chaos to a position of stability unparalleled in the recent history of the country.
