Two Jewish judges, at present incumbents of the Los Angeles County Superior Court, were given a very high endorsement by the plebiscite of the Los Angeles Bar Association and its eleven allied associations in Los Angeles County. They are Lester Wm. Roth, president of the Jewish Consumptive Relief Association, and Isaac Pacht. One thousand, seven hundred and seventy-two members of the associations voted their preferences, Judge Roth receiving 1,393 votes as against his two opponents’ total of 263.
Judge Isaac Pacht received 1,471 votes as against his three opponents total of 190. Judge Pacht received the highest number of votes second to Judge Charles E. Haas who received 1,523 votes. Other Jewish candidates for the judiciary are Bertin A. Weyl and Wm. P. Redmond.
