A meeting of 400 Jewish leaders in the Los Angeles area, held here on Sunday, adopted a resolution endorsing the proposal for converting the American Jewish Conference into a permanent organization.
The resolution said that the plan drawn by the Committee on Permanent Organization of the Conference “offers a sound and constructive basis” for building a democratic body which can speak for all of American Jewry. Rabbi Maurice Eisendrath, chairman of the committee which drafted the plan, spoke.
