John Factor, a Los Angeles philanthropist, has announced a gift of $750, 000 from the John and Rella Factor Foundation for a youth center in Israel.
The exact use to which the gift will be put will be decided by Israel Governments officials. Mr. Factor said that among the possibilities were a boy’s republic, a trade school, an activities center or some variation of one of these, depending on what Israel officials regard as the most urgent need.
The Factor family, through the Foundation, has made contributions of more than $3, 000, 000 during the past three years to a variety of beneficiaries, Mr. Factor is president of Temple Beth EI here.
