The discriminatory practices in hiring of the employment office of the Los Angeles City College were severely criticized here today in a resolution adopted by the Student Executive Council of the college.
The resolution urged that all questions regarding religion and the nationality of the parents should be removed from application blanks. It also suggested that the college employment office refrain from accepting job listings if they show discrimination against any group. The college employment office was also requested in a resolution to refrain from mentioning racial or religious background when discussing prospective referrals with the employer.
