The mission district of this port yesterday mourned the loss of Miss Eva Wolfsohn, who with her sister founded the Girls’ Club thirty-five years ago. Loved by all in this section of the city, “Miss Eva,” as she was called, died Wednesday.
Under her guidance the club has grown from a small room and a bare handful of members to spacious quarters and an enrollment of 500, in which seventeen nationalities are represented. Her sister died twenty years ago.
