Louis F. Costuma, first Jewish police inspector in New York City, took over his new office on Friday after having been sworn in a day earlier by Police Commissioner Mulrooney. Harry Cooper, secretary of the Jewish Theatrical Guild, greeted the new police inspector and congratulated the Police Commissioner for recognizing Jewish achievements in the New York Police Department. Many prominent New York Jews were present at the inauguration ceremony.
