Louis E. Kirstein of Boston, prominent Jewish welfare worker and president of the Associated Jewish Philanthropies here, will be one of the speakers on September 15 at President Hoover’s Welfare and Relief mobilization conference.
Mr. Kirstein will be one of two speakers on the subject of “Strategy of local and national campaigns for the Fall in view of special problems in money raising.”
A week ago Mr. Kirstein attended a White House conference of business leaders to help outline a program for business recovery.
Mr. Kirstein, who is vice-president of William Filene Sons Company, will be one of a group of speakers which will include President Hoover, Newton D. Baker, chairman of the National Citizens Committee; Atlee Pomerone, chairman of the Reconstruction Finance Corporation; Walter S. Gifford, former head of the President’s Committee on Unemployment Relief and Harvy D. Gibson, Chairman of the New York Unemployment Relief Committee.
