A Louis Lipsky Chair in drama was dedicated this week at the Hebrew University in honor of the late American Zionist leader who died nine years ago. The chair was established by the World Confederation of General Zionists. Lipsky, a writer and theater critic for the old New York Telegram in his younger years, was active in the World Zionist Organization, Keren Hayesod and the Zionist Organization of America. Avraham Harman, president of Hebrew University, presented a dedicatory scroll to Lipsky’s son, Eleazar Lipsky, chairman of the Board of Directors of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency.
