Louis P. Smith, president of the Combined Jewish Philanthropies of Greater Boston and member of the National Cabinet of the United Jewish Appeal, was named today to the five-man Board of Trustees of the Boston City Hospital by Mayor John F. Collins. The 1,200-bed institution is part of the teaching program of Harvard, Tufts, and Boston University medical schools.
Mr. Smith is also treasurer of Ford Hall Forum, Fellow of Brandeis University, a trustee of Beth Israel Hospital, trustee of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and member of the Board of the Council of Jewish Federations and Welfare Funds.
