Louis H. Sobel, secretary of the American Joint Distribution Committee, today resigned to become Administrator of the Jewish Child Care Association of New York, one of the largest child care organizations in the country. He has been with the J.D.C. for five years. Previously he served as Executive director of the Federation Employment Service in New York.
"Mr. Sobel will actively assume the post of Aministrator on August 1," Chester Rohrlich, president of the 125 year-old child placement agency, announced. He has had a long and successful career in social work and brings to the Jewish Child Care Association the fruits of that long experience, as well as qualities of character and intellect which have won the highest praise from those who have worked with him."
