Two thousand pieces of rare art have been bequeathed to the Louvre by the late ##roness Edmond de Rothschild, it #as disclosed today when part of ###e will of the baroness was made ###blic here.
The collection includes some of ### rarest drawings, prints and #ings collected over a long period of time by the late Baron Edmond de Rothschild. Included also are works by Rembrandt, Duerer and other great masters.
The bequest of the baroness has created a serious problem for the Louvre Museum whose present galleries are inadequate to house this large and remarkable collection.
