Lieutenant-Governor Lehman has given $25,000 to the Allied Jewish Campaign, it was announced yesterday by James N. Rosenberg, chairman of the New York “drive” for $2,500,000. In addition, Mrs. Lehman has made an individual contribution of $1,000.
Lieut.-Gov. Lehman is a vice-chairman of the Joint Distribution Committee, and an honorary national chairman of the campaign.
Other contributions announced yesterday were as follows: $7,500—Hon. Howard S. Cullman, Carl H. Pforzheimer; $5,000—Emil Nosbacher; $2,000—Abe N. Adelson, Joseph L. Buttenweiser, Bernard Flexner, David M. Heyman, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Levy, Philip Maslansky, William S. Paley; $1,500—David M. Bressler, Mr. and Mrs. Jonah J. Goldstein, Mr. and Mrs. George W. Naumberg, Louis P. Rocker; $1,250—Lawrence B. Cohen; $1,000—Rosedale Engeneering Corporation, Alexander Selkin, Mr. and Mrs. Dudley D. Sicher, Robert E. Simon, A. Sokolsky Surut, Joel M. Wachman.
