The first Israeli settlement of its kind was established today by 75 families of the Lubavitcher Hassdim. The settlement was set up at Rishon-L’Zion, 13 miles south of Tel Aviv. The ceremonies were attended by Rabbi Judah I. Maimon, Minister of Religion, Rabbi I.M. Levin, Minister of Health, and Moshe Shapira, Minister of the Interior and Immigration.
A new settlement, composed of discharged Israeli soldiers, was established today along the Beers heba-Hebrun road. Another new settlement was established yesterday by the Herut Party on the northern border of Galilee.
