General Eric (###) Ludendo(###), former German war lord and leader of the anti-Semitic forces, has termed alchemist and finds himself thereby involved in a sensational swindle case.
A German named Tausend was arrested several days ago in Borez, north Italy, on the charge of having defrauded many persons who gave him large sums of money at the recommendation of General Ludendorf, for the purpose of obtaining gold from baser metals.
It appears, according to newspaper reports, that Ludendorf urged many of his friends to contribute toward the experiments of Tausend. Tausend, however, embezzled the entire amount. Many credulous persons lost their entire possessions and have now instituted proceedings against Ludendorf in an attempt to recover damages.
