One hundred patronesses and their guests will attend a luncheon today at the Hotel Astor to honor Dr. and Mrs. Cyrus Adler of New York and Philadelphia. The luncheon is tendered by the Women’s League of the United Synagogue of America and is part of a movement to hold functions in principal cities of the United States to popularize the cause of the United Synagogue, of which Dr. Adler is one of the founders.
Mrs. Joseph Horowitz, President of the Women’s Club of the Brooklyn Jewish Centre will preside. Among the speakers will be Dr. Elias L. Solomon, Honorary President of the United Synagogue of America; Mrs. Eva Levy, President of the New York Branch of the Women’s League; Dr. Elias Margolis, Chairman of United Synagogue Campaign; Dr. Abraham A. Neuman, Rabbi of Congregation Mikveh Israel, Philadelphia; Mrs. Samuel Spiegel, President of the Women’s League; and the guests of honor. A musical program will be rendered by the Compinsky Trio and Miss Miriam Fine.
