Edouard Herriot, former premier of France, who is the chairman of the French parliamentary committee of the Ort, will receive a special committee of the American Peoples Ort Federation aboard the S.S. Ile de France upon his arrival here Sunday morning.
M. Herriot will discuss with the committee problems of constructive work for the Jews of Eastern Europe.
M. Eric Lebon, private secretary to M. Herriot, was instructed to make the necessary arrangements for the meeting with the representatives of the American Ort.
A special meeting is also being prepared in Washington where M. Herriot will meet Senator Robert S. Wagner, chairman of the Congressional Committee of the American Ort.
The Ort committee which is to meet M. Herriot consists of B. S. Vladeck, Dr. Henry Moscowitz, J. Baskin, L. B. Budin and Mrs. Florence Dolowitz.
The full name of Ort is Peoples Ort Federation (Peoples Tool Campaign-American Ort) for Constructive Relief for the Jews of Eastern Europe.
