Mendel Schneursohn, well known communal worker of Poland, and a descendant of the famous Chassidic dynasty, who came to New York in the interest of Jewish orphan work, was appointed financial director of the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
Mr. Schneursohn succedded in organizing here a committee for the orphan work in Poland. He is sailing Friday for Europe on the Steamer “Caronia” from where he will go to Palestine.
