An over-all agreement covering all sports activities in Israel was signed today by the Maccabi and Hapoel sports organizations. The agreement also covers Israeli representation in international sports bodies, especially the International Olympic Committee. The agreement is expected to remove barriers to Israel’s participation in the Olympic Games at Helsinki caused by the previous failure of Israel sport groups to agree on a single national representation.
