Replying to questions by Colonel Leopold Amery, former Colonial Minister in the Conservative cabinet of Stanley Baldwin, Prime Minister MacDonald indicated yesterday in Parliament that the report of the Mandates Commission of the League of Nations with regard to Palestine will not be published before several months.
Mr. MacDonald stated that the report of the Mandates Commission is a confidential document meant for the consideration of the Council of the League of Nations, which the Council will discuss at its session in September. After the Council will have considered it, the British government will be in a position to publish the report, he declared.
As was recently reported the “Daily Telegraph” stated that the report of the Mandates Commission blames the British government for the riots which took place in Palestine last August.
