Palestine High Commissioners Sir Harold A. MacMichael has issued a ruling modifying the application of the land sales restriction ordinance by permitting certain transfers of land to Jews and other non-Arabs in the zone where sale of Arab lands was prohibited, The Times reported yesterday. The ruling was issued under the provision of the ordinance authorizing the High Commissioner to make exceptions to the prohibition. It is believed the ruling will be used to permit acquisition of land contiguous to present Jewish holdings.
