Magen David Adom, Israel’s official Red Cross agency, shipped $14,285 worth of medicines and first aid equipment to East Pakistan last night for the victims of a cyclone and tidal wave that may have taken as many as 300,000 lives. The government said it would continue to send aid to the stricken area in response to appeals from the International Red Cross and United Nations Secretary General U Thant. Cholera has broken out in the flooded province. A new outbreak of cholera was reported in Israel-occupied territory today. Five cases were registered as cholera suspects in the Gaza Strip. A father and his five-year-old son live in a refugee camp. The other suspects are from urban areas. All have been hospitalized.
