Mahmoud Abbas is expected to declare an end to the military part of the Palestinian intifada at this week’s summit in Jordan. The Palestinian Authority prime minister is expected to say that the “armed intifada must come to an end, and we will turn to peaceful measures,” according to Israeli media reports.
