Mahmoud Abbas said a peace settlement requires an Israeli withdrawal from the Golan Heights.
The Palestinian Authority president in his speech Tuesday at the Annapolis Conference said that reaching a peace settlement does not “depend on the Arab and Islamic position by itself, but requires meeting this position by a reciprocal strategic willingness that would basically lead to ending the occupation of all Palestinian occupied territories in 1967, including East Jerusalem, as well as the Syrian Golan and what remains of the occupied Lebanese territories.”
