Mail communication with Jews residing in displaced persons camps in the American zone of Germany will be facilitated by a new regulation issued here today by the Post Office Department.
It will no longer be necessary to present a post card from a DP before being permitted to send him mail. The regulation also applies to other residents of Germany. Only letters and cards weighing up to one ounce may be sent under the provisions of the Post Office order. In order to mail packages to DP camps, however, it is still necessary to show proof of previous communication with the individual to whom it is addressed.
