Twelve percent of all people who replied to a poll of readers of the Daily Herald, the Labor Party newspaper in this country, are prejudiced against Jews the newspaper disclosed this weekend. The poll was undertaken after the news broke of a college in Cambridge considering whether to accept or reject a bequest tied to anti-Semitic and anti-Negro conditions.
The poll also found that more than half–52 percent–of the readers like all Jews. Replying another query, more than half of the Daily Herald’s readers said that they would approve of their children marrying Jews.
