Maltreatment of Jewish actors by Hitlerite actors working in the same theatres has become so common that the Actors’ Professional League, in a meeting here today, took steps to control the situation.

The League has decided to forbid all actor-members to answer any questionaires regarding their religion, thus hoping to avoid the recognition and maltreatment of Jewish actors.

Several instances of spite-work and persecution of Jewish actors by National Socialist colleagues were given before the meeting. One speaker pointed out a case in Thuringia, when Jewish actors were forced to seek police protection against their anti-Semitic coworkers.
