Speaking before the discussion group of Temple Rodeph Sholom Thursday night, Frank L. weil, attorney and civic leader, whose topic was “The Second Industrial Revolution” declared that the “first industrial rested until 1929. That revolution marked the introduction of the machine. The new era now opening is that of man conquering the machine under the NRA or otherwise. Unless that is accomplished the crash is bound to come.” He was introduced by Rabbi Louis I. Newman, spiritual leader of the congregation.
WILL INSPECT ORPHANAGE
The Junior Federation of the Brooklyn Federation of Jewish Charities will conduct its first institutional visit of the season to an affiliate of the Federation sunday when several hundred members of the Junior group will make an inspection tour of the Brooklyn Hebrew Orphan Asylum at Ralph avenue and Dean street, beginning two o’clock, according to Irving Kartell, Junior president.
SAMUEL TO SPEAK
Maurice Samuel, author and lecturer, will speak before the West Side Zionist district this evening at 8 p. m. at the Jewish Clup, 23 West 73rd street. Mr. Samuel will talk on “The German Jew Discovers Palestine.” He will be inrotduced by Louis P. Rocker, president of the district.
