Strong opposition to the projected introduction of an income tax in Palestine is expressed editorially today by the “Manchester Guardian.”

“Instead of perceiving that it is the absence of an atrocious income tax burden which accounted for the prosperity of Palestine, the controllers of Palestine’s destiny now proceed to urge it down that descent to which the high income tax led England itself,” the paper states.
