The League of Nations Mandates Commission appointed today a sub-committee to examine thirty petitions submitted by Arab and Jewish residents of Palestine. The commission had previously rejected a proposal to consider them.
The question of recent Palestine disorders was ordered deleted from the agenda yesterday following Britain’s refusal to report on the disturbances until the Royal Commission concludes its projected investigation.
The action was taken, however, with the expectation that a special session would be called in the future to consider Britain’s administration of the Holy Land mandate.
