Neo-Nazism and new manifestations of anti-Semitism in West Germany were condemned here by speakers at a mass meeting commemorating the Reichstag fire of 25 years ago set the Nazis, which was used by Hitler as an excuse to intensify persecution of political opponents and Jews.

The meeting was called by the Social Democratic Party. Among the speakers at the meeting were Paul Lobe, former Reichstag president, Joachim Lipschitz, member of the Berlin municipal government, and Berlin Mayor Willy Brandt.
