Many Americans favor a reduction or elimination of immigration quotas by this country, the Gallup poll reported today.
Some 51 percent of all questioned favored the cutting of quotas below the number of immigrants admitted annually before the war or eliminating them altogether. Five percent favored increasing the quotas, while 32 percent would like to see them remain at the pre-war level.
