The fiftieth anniversay of the Hebrew Technical School for Girls, which was established in 1880 by Mrs. Minnie D. Louis, was observed yesterday at the building of the institution which is located on Second Avenue and Fifteenth Street. Among those who participated in the program were Adolph Lewisohn, president of the board of directors; Mrs. Jacob Wertheim, Charles A. Riegelmann, Mrs. Jacob Bloom, Mrs. Jacob Fish, Miss Muriel R. Goldberg and Miss Jessie Rosenfelt.
The Hebrew Technical School trains young girls who are public school graduates to become self-supporting through technical instruction. The school includes a commercial and manual department and operates an employment bureau.
