Further statements felicitating Mr. Louis Marshall, President of the American Jewish Committee, on the occasion of his seventy-second birthday, today were made to the Jewish Daily Bulletin.

Dr. Lee K. Frankel: “Mr. Marshall is such an international character that it is fitting for the good wishes of his friends and admirers all over the world to be conveyed to him through the medium of the Jewish Daily Bulletin.

“Any attempt to say a word of praise regarding the things that Mr. Marshall has done for world Jewry would be futile. It is sufficient for us who know him and who have worked with him to express our fervent thanks that he has been permitted for so many years to lead and to guide us.”

Former Congressman Isaac Siegel: “Mr. Marshall’s voice has always been lifted in behalf of the oppressed, regardless of their faith. He has repeatedly sounded the clarion note of duty to American Jewry to remember that without religious education no boy or girl can ever grow up to be either a credit to his own parents or to the American people, or to those of the Jewish faith. He has fought the battle of the minorities fearlessly and courageously.

“Three State Constitutional Conventions have seen him one of its members. Due to his own tireless and indefatigable efforts, his fame as a lawyer of honor and distinction has spread to all the four corners of the earth. He has never differentiated as to the hour of the day when he could render service to our common country or to the cause of mankind. The history of the Jew in America for more than thirty years past, shows him always at the front line fighting for what he has deemed right.”
