James Marshall, newly-appointed member of the Board of Education and chairman of the Teachers Retirement Board, has resigned from the Jewish Board of Guardians, he announced yesterday.
He did so, the attorney declared, “in view of the fact that the Board of Education votes an appropriation every year for teachers and supplies for the Hawthorne School, which is conducted by the Jewish Board of Guardians.”
