The American Federation of Jewish Fighters, Camp Inmates and Nazi Victims announced today that “Yom Hashoa,” a remembrance day for Jewish martyrdom, will be observed in Jewish communities across the country on Saturday night, April 28 and Sunday, April 29. Ell Zborowski, president of the group, said more than 70 national Jewish organizations had signed a proclamation calling on “all Jews to assemble in their synagogues and places of assembly to commemorate the heroic deeds of our people in the European catastrophe.”
The Agudat Israel of America reported today that 10,000 parcels of matzoh have been shipped to Jews in Soviet Russia to reach them in time for the Passover holidays.
