Designed to prevent the sale of non-kosher food preparations as kosher, a bill has been passed by the Senate of the Maryland Legislature. The measure, which was introduced by Senator Edward J. Colgon, Jr., of the Third Legislative District of Baltimore, is not expected to meet with opposition when it comes before the House.
For failure to observe the proposed act, a fine of not less than $25 nor more than $500, or imprisonment of not less than 30 days nor more than one year, or both fine and imprisonment, is provided.
