The charge that the cruelest pogroms carried out by German soldiers against Jews in the Nazi-occupied Ukraine were ordered by General Walter von Reichenau, whose death from "apoplexy" was announced in Berlin, is made today in London newspapers.
Articles in today’s press declare that the massacre in Kiev, where thousands of Jews were driven to the Jewish cemetery and executed by Nazi soldiers, was conducted under Reichenau’s direct command. Similarly, they state Reichenau was responsible for the murdering of Jewish civilians in Kharkov and other Ukrainian cities.
