A mass-meeting to request the British Government to permit the Jews of Palestine to defend their homeland and their families in view of the peril which they face as a result of the military situation in the Near East will be held here tomorrow, arranged by the British Zionist Federation.
A British officer under whose command Jewish units were fighting in the Western Desert emphasized the great value of the work done by these units in a letter received from him today by a member of the executive of the Jewish Agency. Stating that he was greatly impressed with the Jewish achievements in Palestine, the officer writes: “When the time for settlements comes, there will be many in England who, having seen the Jewish work at close hand, will be able the better to express their views.”
