The Department of Justice has not abandoned its prosecution of the twenty-six defendants in the mass trial for sedition which was adjourned last year following the death of the presiding judge, a spokesman for the Department said here today.
He branded as “untrue” stories in the Washington newspapers that said the Department had abandoned the prosecution. He pointed out that the Department did not comment on cases still pending in court, and that as far as he knew the sedition cases were still pending.
