Max Bressler, prominent Zionist and Jewish communal leader of Chicago, was elected president of the Jewish National Fund of America at the annual meeting of the JNF board of directors, which is composed of representatives of all groups in American Zionism, it was announced here today. Mr. Bressler, who will serve for a period of two years, succeeds Albert Schiff.
Together with the new president, Dr. Israel Goldstein, Dr. Harris J. Levine and Mr. Schiff were elected honorary presidents of the JNF. Mendel N. Fisher was elected for the 39th consecutive time as Secretary-Consultant of the Jewish National Fund.
