Rabbi Max Nussbaum, Zionist leader and since 1935 one of the leading Berlin rabbis, left Germany on August 1 and will arrive here on an American Export liner shortly, it was announced here today by friends of the rabbi.
Rabbi Nussbaum was successor to Rabbi Joachim Prinz, well-known German Zionist leader, now in America, as rabbi of the Friedenstempel in Berlin. After the pogrom in November, 1938, he was one of the few Jewish leaders allowed to lecture in Germany.
Through the efforts of Dr. Stephen S. Wise, Rabbi Nussbaum has been called to a Muskogee (Oklahoma) pulpit.
