Tammany Hall may refuse to support Lieutenant-Governor Herbert H. Lehman as candidate for governor if Governor Roosevelt removes Mayor James J. Walker from office, the World Telegram states.

The opposition of Tammany Hall is threatened as a retaliatory measure. Lieutenant-Governor Lehman has the support both of Governor Roosevelt and Alfred E. Smith, former governor of New York State, and former Democratic candidate for the presidency of the United States.
